Project Superintendent
Position: Project Superintendent
Reports to: Performance Services Manager
Summary:
The project superintendent shall be responsible for the facilities set-up, acquisition of qualified craft labor, appointment of craft supervision, acquisition of required administrative personnel, and recordkeeping. In addition the project superintendent will initiate planning requirements, supervise and direct overall project and interface with customer and management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position requires that the individual is able to perform each of the duties and responsibilities listed below:
• Promote and supervise safety program.
• Hire and assign craft supervision to project as required.
• Responsible for craft and administrative personnel.
• Implement field project planning.
• Insure proper tooling is acquired for project tasks.
• Supervise project materials acquisition.
• Timekeeping and billing.
• Administrative functions as required by APM Speciality Services.
• Resolution of labor disputes.
• Interface with customer on project needs.
• Initiate project reports.
• Responsible for project sourcing and recruitment of sub-contractors, if required.
• Monitor job costs and manpower requirements.
• Conduct post job lessons learned meetings.
• Monitor contract requirements.
• Finalize and close out project activities.
• Working knowledge of computers and various types of software.
• Adhere to customer/plant rules and regulations.
• Possesses a minimum of a high school diploma and at least ten years of solid construction experience.
