Project Manager

Position: Project Manager  
Reports to:  Performance Services Manager

Summary:
Articulate professional with ability to handle multiple project activities simultaneously. Responsible for directing, coordinating, planning, and staffing as well as the implementation and completion of project within areas of assigned responsibility. Continually lead site team with strong focus on project control. Interface with APM Speciality Services management, field personnel/craft and customer. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position requires that the individual is able to perform each of the duties and responsibilities listed below:

  • Implement, enhance, plan and analyze Viewpoint or otherwise stated project management software program(s).
  • Lead site team set-up with strong focus on project control.
  • Use project management methodology to monitor timelines.
  • Develop master budgets from estimates for project.
  • Work with management team to determine internal cost breakdown.
  • Project finance control and management.
  • Statistical project cost analysis, auditing and reporting
  • Analyze project profitability; actual cost vs. budgeted costs.
  • Sourcing, control and management of purchasing, sub-contractors and vendors.
  • Provide on-going project overview reports and final project report as directed by APM Speciality Services General Manager.
  • Proficient with personal computers including word processing, spreadsheets and scheduling software.
  • Good understanding of both the technical and commercial aspects project with the skill to manage projects from start to finish while working with a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated and driven with a high degree of integrity and work ethic.
  • Experience with negotiated contracts in a multiple project environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, decision-making and negotiation skills.
  • Meets the physical demands of the job including working in awkward positions and exposure to noise, dust, heat and cold.
  • Continual interface with APM Speciality Services management, field personnel/craft and customer.
  • Administrative functions as required by APM Speciality Services.
  • Adhere to customer/plant rules and regulations.
  • Possess a minimum of high school diploma and at least ten years of project experience.
